Re: In what other game can you say...
Thu, February 22, 2007 - 9:20 AMHells yes! I have this tendency to trade goods for soldiers (and vice versa), however, which is great when my boyfriend says "I've got wood for one of your soldiers," so I can say "Honey, they don't let openly gay men into the army."

Mon, March 12, 2007 - 5:36 PMHi
I hadn't considered trading soldiers as a commodity.
Do you trade them before or after played? -

Re: In what other game can you say...
Wed, March 14, 2007 - 4:26 PMI kind of bend the rules... I play peacemaker and supplier (especially in Knights and Cities)... I basically trade them as I trade any other commodity... -

Re: In what other game can you say...
Fri, September 7, 2007 - 1:47 PMThat's interesting. What we've always done is, say, the Bandit is on one of your hexes and you want it gone, you trade goods to the owner of an unused Soldier card so that on the owner's next/current turn, they use the card to move the Bandit. Which seems to be within the rules as I understand them. ;)

Wed, May 30, 2007 - 2:42 PMmy friends and I find ourselves offering trade goods to eachother outside of the game. like I'd ask my friend if he would trade a sheep and a brick for a bite of his sandwitch.

Re: In what other game can you say...
Fri, September 7, 2007 - 1:49 PMHeh, so true.
We always make fun of the person trying to trade a sheep for "a brick", saying they're getting ripped off.
All the little things that are totally un-funny outside of the game itself. *sighs* I love Catan lingo. ;)
